Well constructed quality product

The multi-lingual instructions were clear and aided by diagrams. The stove is cleverfully packed so that the grill accessory/hose are stored inside the unit. It was fairly easy to set up although getting the hose connected can be a little difficult and you must remember to take a screwdriver camping with you for the hose clips.There are two things I would like to have known before my purchase. Firstly, according to the instructions, you cannot use it as a stove at the same time as a grill. So for example if you like a cup of tea and toast for breakfast you must do one and then the other. Secondly the base plate under the grill gets hot when used and so it should be placed on a heat resistant surface when in use, this may be something extra to pack when camping.Overall, it seems like a quality product which will be ideal for my future camping holidays.

I am glad I read the review first, also the gas will cost a bit too...

I would say very good price for such a quality product, but I am glad I read the other review about remebering a screw driver; also I looked up how much the gas will cost to get a cannister and it's between £35 and £45, which is way more than I thought, but the cooker fits a large gas cylinder so we won't run out for a few years I'd say. Very good product and arrived in 2 days Brilliant!

A really excellent little cooker. Only problem is that product is sold with campingaz regulator and we found Campingaz gas cylinder very difficult to locate. When we did find one we were quoted £46 for a new cylinder and £18 to refill it. Calor Gas is found in most garages and is only £29 for new cylinder so we bought a different regulator which was only £7.99. Good product though. NF

I use this to carry emergency fuel for my motorcycle. Its an ideal size to stash away safely and holds enough fuel to get you to the next garage. Compared to purpose made containers this is excellent value.

After using this on my latest 3 day camping trip, I am pleased with the results. Although only used for boiling water for various tasks, Coffee etc, the heat power produced is very impressive.Everything I did was for Myself.. And there is enough left in the cylinder to say it did my 3 days without Panicking. Delivery was Ultra Quick... and text message tracking. This is a product and delivery I am Happy to give 5 stars

Wow this is the cook set to get!It's great so light for what you get - I spent ages figuring out what to get and finally came to the decision to get this and it was not a mistake. The gas is so easy to use and only Takes about 3:30 to boil a full kettleIt's great!

Good Hiking kit

Great make, didn't disappoint with the quality of build. Big enough for 3 people to cook a meal and light weight enough to carry. The single ultra light hiker would go for something lighter again and spend more. I got this with the gas burner as meals are based around boiling water quickly and not simmering. I did buy the spirit burner as an extra just in case.

Very handy - if not that well made

We upgraded to this from a mini 'burner' type cooker to take on a 2 week camping trip and it was perfect. You can swap the rings for a gas barbeque grill which is excellent. The disadvantage of this model over some others is that it doesn't have a grill underneath for making toast.Can't say we were impressed with the build quality. It took a bit of manoeuevering to put the thing together and the screws etc didn't fit that perfectly. This didn't cause any problems though.Note that for some bizarre reason the pack doesn't include the 'regulator' to attach the cooker to the gas cylinder. This only costs about a fiver but you do need to buy it separately and fit it yourself (bring a screwdriver).Also - shop around as the price varies!

Poorly made really

I am an engineer, and have lots of tools, but there is no way that the supplied screws would fit into the plastic leg receivers on this item. These plastic cheeks are warped so badly that the holes do not line up, very poor design and manufacture. The whole thing took ages to build. Ask yourself, do you need the fabric cover, because it adds a good 10 minutes faffing about. I should have gone for the basic one and stuck it on a table....

Sturdy with space for storing food

Just come back from our second camping trip with this excellent camping kitchen. It's all flat packed into a carry case and when assembled it's a very sturdy appliance with space underneath for storing food. The canvas cover is perfect for keeping everything tidy.It's easy to put together, apart from a little bit of fiddling to get the wire rack shelf that sits half-way down inside the fabric covered section - that's a little bit awkward with screws that need to be pushed though, nothing too problematic though.Can be set up as a standard two-burner stove or a single grill top for barbeque cooking - brilliant! We only need take the camping kitchen for all our cooking needs.The feet are adjustable so you can set up on uneven ground and the side flaps are really useful for resting things on while cooking and they can also be used as windbreaks.The only downside is that it is all rather heavy when it's all packed away in it's bag. Not the solution for lightweight camping but great for a family holiday.All-in-all highly recommended.

Campingaz 2 Burner Stove Carry Bag

It fits the Campingaz 2 burner stoves perfectly. The pocket on the side takes the toaster bits too. I'd have liked a bit more padding and protection (it's literally just a soft bag) but at least it means I can throw the beaten up cardboard box away at last! For £10 ish I think it's well worth it.

Worth buying

Ordered this and the stove at the same time. The stove was in stock and arrived first and nearly cancelled the order for the bag as didn't think it was worth it. However, it was dispatched before I got round to it. So glad I didn't cancel! It is a great bag to carry the stove in. With the decent size front pocket too, you can carry the regulator and piping and the matches etc in here so it is all in one place. Keeps it nice ready for next time too.

Old fashioned reliable stove

The trangia is a meths (methanol) burning stove. While meths is a little slower than gas it has much better cold temperature performance (it can still be a harder/slow to get going at temperatures around freezing or below but it *does* go, unlike gas).The 25 is marketed as a "3 or 4 person" stove (in contrast to the 27 whcih is a "1 or 2 person" stove). However the 2 saucepans on the 25 are 1.5 Litre and 1.75 Litre. I use the 25 for myself and, given that it's a single burner you tend to end up with everything in the one saucepan I can easily fill the 1.75 L saucepan (any more and you'd risk spilling when you stir) with just a good evening meal for myself.The frying pan doubles as a saucepan lid and the kettle is also included in the 25-6 (although the kettle is not non-stick you really shouldn't be heating anything other than water in it and if your water is sticky you've got bigger problems than cleaning the kettle!)The non-stick of the 6UL works well although like all non-stick you have to be careful not to scratch it.While meths stoves are considered by some to be slow and with limited flame control (there is a 'simmer ring' which provides some adjustment) it has the advantage of no moving parts, nothing to clog or jam, no fine threads that have to match and could clog with dirt. This makes it almost unbreakable which is the relaibility you need when camping away from civilisation when you *need* to be able to rely on your stove.

...consistently excellent, for years

This is my 3rd Trangia - I have had two smaller 27s which I have used since I started trekking and camping over 20 years ago...they have both stood up well and now one has been retired after heavyweight use. I now have a family and wanted a new stove for more planned trips where frankly weight & size are less of an issue. But, after looking at lots of gas stoves in outdoor stores, came back to the Trangia (non stick). I remain delighted - it's easy to fire up; never gets affected by win or rain, gets up to temperature easily and one full burner lasts for over 45 minutes giving you time enough to cook most things. Compared with other stoves, it may not be a looker, but given its fantastic useability and practicality, it's a triumph of substance over style.

Fantastic ! The BEST kit for cooking when your camping

The trangia is compact, lighweight and easy to use. With no gas bottles, it is convenient as the fuel is sold everywhere (its just methylated spirits), and lasts ages. Very economical.Boiling the kettle is super speedy, cooking is easy. You can easily prepare a good meal with very little effort and in short time.This was the star of our recent camping holiday and I simply couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Simple and fuss free

If your reading this review for a Trangia Gas Burner the chances are you'll know what a Trangia stove is. If not briefly Trangia produce a stove set that comprises a burner which runs on methylated spirit in a highly effective and stable windshield with cooking pans and perhaps a kettle thrown in. Trangias come in two basic sizes Model 25 is the 'big one' and Model 27 which is smaller and designed for solo use or a couple of folk.The Gas Burner replaces the standard Methalyted Spriits burner.This model of gas burner is manufactured for Trangia By Primus. The burner is an adaption of Primus's Himalaya Easy Fuel gas stove burner. It's very well constructed using Stainless Steel Brass and Aluminium. The gas supply hose uses a SS outer sheath for abrasion protection. The gas valve uses the standard EN417 connection and the connection threads are brass which will provide for greater wear then the alloy threads used on some chinese stoves.The gas valve allows for a wide range of control on the flame. The whole assembly fits into the lower windshield on the Trangia. Older models of trangia without the cut out in the windshield for the gas burner will need to be modified to accept the burner.Ok in use the gas burner transforms the Trangia gone is the ritual of filling the Meths's burner and that comforting but slightly fume ridden wait while water boils. The gas burner is clinically clean and efficient nada real power house. The wind shield means the burner developers its full potential and the heat is effectively captured in the stove. boil times are MUCH MUCH quicker than the Meths's burner will ever produce. Flame control is simple and it's easy to get foods simmering.I'm running my gas burner in a model 27 duossal and it's transformed the stove into a high performance clean burning cooking set. With of course more flexibility than say a Jetboil PCS and far better windshielding than a SOTO Stove or MSR windpro.All up a superbly made bit of kit which transforms the Trangia....

Trangia Gas Burner

I bought the Trangia Gas Burner as a back up to the spirit burner in the event that if I ran out of meths I would have another source of fuel to use. Having used the gas burner it has now become the main source for cooking and the meths burner is now the back up. The gas burner is easy to use, easy to install in the cooker base and is much better for simmer control over the spirit burner. It boils a kettle of water very quickly and if you shop around the gas canisters can be bought at a resonable cost. Using the gas burner also means that you don't cover the bottom of the pans and kettles in soot either. When cooking on a very low light its a good idea to stir the food regularly to prevent it burning and sticking to the bottom of the pan because the head of the burner concentrates the flames in a small central spot. I like the simplicity of the spirit burner and the availability in most places to obtain the fuel. In my opinion the addition of the gas burner makes a good stove even better.

I bought this as a back up for when the meths run out but seem to use it instead of now. I love the traditional way of cooking with a meths burner but when you are desparate for a brew I always use the gas burner as it is twice as quick to boil the kettle, you can also alter the the flame so simmering etc. is possible. This is a great little addition to an already excellent little stove.
