Awaiting camping season

Due to the weahter we haven't used this item yet, my initial feeling is that it is very compact and just what we are looking for. We have a Cadac but find it very bulky to transport, now there are only 2 of us we think the 3-in1 stove will be just right. I did have difficulty fixing the carry handle it was a bit of a fiddle. Having achieved that everything else is straght forward.

The best piece of kit I have.

I've had the Eta Solo for 3 years. Its never let me down. I went to the shop to buy a Jetboil, and came away with this instead.Very light, super convenient, and the gas is easy to find in camping shops in Europe and North Amercia (not tried elsewhere).I've used it in all weathers for hot drinks and cooking.After three years of abuse, I've just cracked the small ceramic igniter (the igniter means you can light in high winds without needing matches), so I'm now using matches to light (as all other cookers usually need). I note that the Jetboil also has a delicate ceramic igniter.

Overall very good stove

Bought this really for next year when I hope to climb all the scottish munros. Thought I would experiment a little this year with equipment and food etc. Have used it twice up to know and been OK so far.

Well, its the extention of the perfect camping stove ( otimus nova +). Its small, really light even with fuel in it, easy to hook up to your bag. Its great for week-end trip, you can use it for 3 meal a day for 3 days and you still have 1/2 the bottle.

The Optimus Nova+ is exactly what the name suggest - a stove with the
performance of the original award-winning Optimus Nova plus a little
more. The Optimus Nova+ features the field-proven quick priming,
patented burner with built-in magnetic cleaning needle. It has been
upgraded with the new Powerline control valve that uses the fuel hose as
an extension to the valve. Flame control is now done by simply twisting
the green control at the end of the hose.



Average boil time for 1L of water: 3.5 min/1 l water, depending on
climate, altitude etc.



Average burn time: up to 2.5 h at maximum output (using 450 ml fuel)

camping kitchen stand

This product looked good and a good price. We recieved it within the time scale it said it would. We tried it our straight away and had fun putting it up - or my hubby did! it looks classy aswell and can't waite to use it. The only thing we were dissapointed about was when i rang up for the free wind shield as stated, the company said i couldn't have it, as you have to order it via them, so it's cost me another £7/8 on top.

Excellent and essential piece of kit for any outdoorsman

Can't praise this enough. With fire being an essential camping/survival element, one of these is an almost limitless source. The particular model is a fantastic compromise between weight and durability. I also have the larger Swedish Army Firesteel which is significantly heavier but lasts even longer. Both are of excellent build quality. Produces excellent sparks, as with all firesteels it takes a couple of practice tries for a beginner.As kit goes, this and a penknife are the two most essential pieces of gear you should always keep on you out in the bush.

Great wood burner but £20 too much here!

I have one of these and they are fantastic. It folds completely flat, doesn't warp and being made of titanium is incredibly strong for its weight. Can be used as a wood burning stove or makes a great windscreen and pot stand for a meths burning stove like a trangia.The only problem I have is that it costs £45 everywhere else and in my opinion the price being charged here takes the mick!Have a look at [...] for a sensible price on this.

our scout group has two of these burners and been using them safely and successfully for years , however one has both control valves broken and can you supply as spares,as we wish to continue with them as they are robust and reliable for our purposes .

Mixed thoughts

Well it certainly dose the job but think it needs a bit more quality to it.... like the metal used to make it! example in the metal used to support the pans started to melt at the ends near to the flame also the legs... if it was used as meant like for boiling large pans of water etc then i think the legs would give way....I guess you get what you pay for really but has said certainly dose the job needed just not over joyed on the build quality.

This stainless steel kettle replaces our old aluminium one. Well made, easy to store and I expect it to last 25 years like the last one. Good price too.
